Successful applications require extremely detailed financial models. Negotiations are more rigorous as, unsurprisingly, there is a cultural difference which needs to be outcome.

Having had a grant approved is only the beginning of the process. In order to draw down on the Funding requires progress reports which have to be detailed, transparent and verifiable. Contrary to popular belief, the European Unions Court of Auditors take their work extremely seriously and will act on referrals from Funding Departments immediately. The file, therefore, has to be in good order!
